We are currently seeking CHIEF/CRITICAL ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERS to
oversee the efficient operations and maintenance of all building systems
at our clients Miami, FL location.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide effective daily leadership and administration of the
engineering
team with the objectives of safely and effectively operating all
machinery
and systems
- Operator all building automation and control systems throughout the
facility, and ensure that they are operating to optimal levels.
- Monitor operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting
the
facility critical operations
- Assist with central plant operations, including chillers, cooling
towers, pumps, air handlers, water treatment and related ancillary
equipment.
- Alert the client of any and all conditions affecting building services
and occupant comfort
- Check malfunctioning equipment and ascertain corrective action
- Schedule equipment to be taken off line so that preventative
maintenance
can be performed
- Demonstrate the proper use and care of tools and instruments, giving
hands on instruction in basic maintenance, safety and trouble shooting
procedures
- Participate in facilities remodeling, new construction, and other
planning activities by Corporate Real Estate or other departments
- Oversee construction coordination including contractor management and
review
- Develop and implement web based Preventive Maintenance program
- Direct the performance of contracted maintenance work and recommend
and
estimate facility repairs and improvements
- Plan and manage the budget allowing for appropriate control and
utilization of client's resources
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Good writing & communication skills
- 10+ years experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance
supervision
- 2+ years experience in mechanical trades or equivalent HVAC,
electrical
engineering training
- Possess Universal CFC License.
- Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural
blueprints
and use Windows based computers
- Understanding of the engineering design and operational aspects of the
Base Building and Critical Support Systems and Components
- Ability to analyze the operation of the various systems, determine the
cause of any problem / malfunctions and corrective action
- Thorough knowledge of building automation systems
- Experience with uninterruptible power systems, emergency power
systems, energy management systems, HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid
filtering, mechanical systems, and electrical systems engineering and operation
