Carrier Global Rental Systems is a global division of Carrier, based in
Farmington, CT. Spot Coolers is a subsidiary of Carrier Rental Systems,
and a leader in temporary portable air conditioning industry. With over
35 locations nationwide, Spot Coolers rents and sells portable cooling
equipment in 1 to 12 ton capacities. Typical applications include
cooling equipment rooms, such as computer centers, server rooms,
telephone systems, etc., for short or medium time frames. Emergency
cooling requirements and planned shut downs also require interim cooling
measures.
We have created a new position, due to growth, for a Sales Rep to cover
the Concord, CA territory. The position will be located in
Venicia/Concord/Pleasantville area and will report to the California
Regional Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform sales calls on targeted accounts in and around Concord, CA.
Targeted accounts will include hospital engineers, commercial property
managers and engineers, mechanical contractors and other institutional,
industrial and commercial building facility personnel. Build and
cultivate relationships by continuous visits and follow up phone calls.
- Visit job sites, specify and design jobs as required.
- Service orders, arrange for delivery and pick-up of equipment, as well
as installation.
- Accurately complete all order write-ups and other required paperwork
according to policy.
- Participate in marketing blitzes and attend trade shows as required.
- Distribute marketing materials to customers.
- Clean and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- An AAS degree is desired; a BA/BS degree is preferred.
- A reasonable degree of mechanical aptitude and technical competence is
required.
- 3 - 4 years experience in sales is desired.
- Familiarity with the HVAC industry is desired.
- A professional image is required.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently, and with minimal supervision is essential
(must be self motivated and driven).
- Must be able to manage, prioritize and organize call lists.
- Must be committed to providing superior customer service.
- A reasonable degree of mechanical aptitude and technical competence is
required.
- 3 - 4 years experience in sales is desired.
